Key Features of the Event

Hands-On Experiences

The event is designed to provide children with interactive, hands-on activities that allow them to explore scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way. From making elephant toothpaste to conducting simple chemical reactions, children have the opportunity to actively participate and learn.

Locations

Science Day takes place in various venues throughout Flanders and Brussels, ensuring that children from different communities can partake in the event. We were based in Antwerp, where our activities were designed to engage local audiences and provide unique experiences. Each location features tailored activities that resonate with the science and community, making the event even more special for the participants.

Collaborative Efforts

The event is made possible through the collaboration of numerous partners, including local schools, universities, and scientific organizations. This collective effort enriches the experience and broadens the scope of activities available to participants.

Educational Goals

One of the main goals of The science day is to ignite curiosity about science in young minds. By making science accessible and enjoyable, the event encourages children to ask questions, explore, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Sustainability and Innovation

The event also highlights the role of chemical companies like BASF in driving innovation and sustainability. Through interactive exhibits and demonstrations, children learn about the importance of science in addressing global challenges.
