Having started my internship at BASF Antwerp before the intended date set by my school, I’ve already had an inside look at how things function here, which excites me even more about what’s coming next. I’m looking forward on focusing more on social media, internal communication, newsletters, and event coordination in my upcoming days.
Developing content for our internal channels and social media is one of my top priorities. I’m particularly curious about how a multinational corporation like BASF manages to effectively communicate with such a large and diverse workforce and adapts its messages for different platforms. I’m interested in learning more about the process of producing internal newsletters and see how they keep employees informed and engaged.
Another thing I’m excited to learn more about is event organizing. I want to know how the communication team helps in organizing and carrying out effective events that support BASF’s goals, whether they are smaller, internal staff gatherings or more sophisticated external ones.
In general, I’m hoping that this internship will help me to gain a better practical knowledge of how BASF’s internal communications, event planning, and social media all fit into the larger picture. I intend to walk out of this experience with enhanced abilities and a better understanding of how to apply them in practical situations.
